What is LNG (liquefied natural gas)

A safe, efficient, clean and reliable energy

LNG represents an excellent alternative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

LNG is the cleanest fossil fuel and is a safe, efficient, clean and reliable energy for islands and remote areas.

LNG is natural gas in its purified and liquefied form and it creates much fewer emissions than coal and oil and has low concentrations of ethane, propane and butane.

In the context of the current energy transition sought by many countries around the world, LNG represents an excellent alternative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help combat global warming.

The use of LNG has been instrumental in lowered emissions and improved air quality in many Countries and many experts believe that natural gas provides the fastest and most economic path to a less carbon intensive world while also improving air quality.

Even if some countries and some islands are already moving towards clean energy (solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy, hydro energy), natural gas can support the uptake of renewable energy and help with the transition to decarbonisation.
